Dani Corrigan

HappyCampus was created by a student, for students!

 

My name is Dani Corrigan, and I am a senior at the University of New Hampshire. I will be graduating in May of 2022 with degrees in Psychology and English.

I grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut, surrounded by my loving family and my now 17-year-old cat. I've always valued and been interested in how humans can pursue and cultivate happiness. Happiness is one of the most important values to me, and something I'm very thankful for.

In looking back on my four years at UNH, I feel both sad to graduate, and incredibly grateful for the education and experiences that I have gained here. But, I wasn't always so happy in college. During my freshman year,  I spent a lot of my days feeling homesick and just plain sad. My family and I considered having me move back home and take local courses. I'm thankful I gave it all another try, as I ended up meeting some of my favorite people and making memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. But I know college isn't always a blast for everyone--it can be tough, too.

 

So, I wanted to create this website for others, whether they're freshmen, seniors, or somewhere in between, in order to give tips for feeling authentically happy during their time as students. After all, happiness is probably the most important thing in life, whatever that means or looks like for different individuals.
